Fishermen are once again angling for Striped Bass (aka Rockfish)

It’s rockfish season on the Chesapeake Bay!

This is the time of year you can catch, and actually keep, your striped bass. Up to two fish a day and as long as they’re not too small and only one can be larger than three-feet (but smaller than 45-inches). The rules are in the link in the tweet below. Rockfish season runs from June through December in the upper and middle Bay.

Fish must be caught in Maryland using a rod-and-reel, unless they’re invasive (snakefish, blue & flathead catfish). In that case, just catch and eat as many as you can.
