ChesapeakeLiving.com is a online magazine focusing on events and general interest happenings on and around the Chesapeake Bay. Our target audience are residents of Washington, DC, Baltimore and Philadelphia who like to get out and explore.
We attract this audience by explaining what they’ll find when visiting smaller communities, what events are going on, and stories that’ll grab their interest and entice them to visit the area. We tell them where to find cool, out-of-the-way places and experiences, and we do not charge viewers to see our copyrighted material.
Over 2015, during our first, full summer, ChesapeakeLiving.com quadrupled its viewership without any promotion our part. Viewers found us because they were googling for what we provide.
This growth is expected to continue as we rise in the search engine rankings by providing more information readers want and by website optimization (getting better at what we do).
