Roll Call is at it again. Pitting Chesapeake Bay favorites against each other in its Taste of America contest. Once again, it’s Maryland vs. Virginia.
Ham biscuit from VA? Crab cake from MD? You tell us, in Taste of America #TofA2016https://t.co/Jf0PaPPYHzpic.twitter.com/yW1GiYlklx

Maryland is typically represented by crab cakes and reached the Elite Eight last year. Virginia’s ham biscuits never made it out of the first round. Overall, Indiana’s pork tenderloin won in 2015.
In 2014, Maryland crab cakes lost in the final round to Utah’s cherry cobbler.
Roll Call, a Capitol Hill newspaper focusing on Congress, picks food from each state typically found in their local ballparks. They’ve been know to change up a few times. But, it’s been fairly steady over the years for Virginia ham and Maryland crab.
