Black bears are getting busted. But did they do it?
Maryland officials think black bears are causing what could be described as crop circles. Maybe not in every case, but they want to find out how often so they’re flying drones.
Maryland wildlife biologists are testing out drones to look for bear damage in farm fields. Black bears like to eat crops in the middle of the field. Imagine the farmer’s surprise when he’s combining and comes across a patch of missing corn.
“The use of drones can help speed up the process of documenting potential bear damage,” according to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources
